I have been practicing law for 27 years in Barbados, mainly as a Corporate and Commercial Attorney. Having worked in both the private and public sectors, I have gained a deep understanding of international law, governance, and the compliance and the regulatory landscapes. I am presently the Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary at the Barbados Civil Aviation Authority and my legal role entails advising the Authority on a wide range of legal matters including licensing, enforcement actions, international treaties and aviation security matters. My role also involves liaising with industry stakeholders to support policy development and legal harmonization. I have also played a pivotal role in development the Authority's Rule Making Policy, its Administration Manual and the drafting of (a) a new suite of over twenty-five (25) Regulations, (b) amendments to the Barbados Civil Aviation Act, (c) a new Air Navigation Services Bill and (d) a new Aircraft Accident Investigation Bill. My Corporate Secretarial duties also extend to the National Civil Aviation Security Committee and its Risk Assessment Committee. Qualification: U.W.I.
